The new Aromatherapy Diet Pens are marketed as an exciting method of obtaining help with weight reduction. The idea is that you smell the Diet Pen before eating or when feeling hungry. The sweet aromas from the pen sends signals to the brain to suppress the appetite and to stop snacking. There are three pens in each pack, one smells of spearmint, one of apple and one of banana. I found that they did put me off eating some sweet things, but that I soon got used to them and they don’t work with the craving for pork pies and chips!
