21 Apr 2003 - I was sceptical about this, imagining that the only way to lower the calories would be to have wafer thin slices.....meaning no taste, but I was pleasantly surprised with the result. The smoked version has all the flavour of normal bacon, and because 1 rasher has half the calories you can have 2 slices for the price of 1!!

DANEPAK Lean and Low bacon rashers allow you to have that gorgeous smelling bacon buttie (without the butter please) and still stay within your calorie/fat allowance. Each rasher contains 30% less fat and salt than standard rashers and less than 45 calories and 4g fat. They can be used in a variety of recipes.
