    Fish and Potato Pie

 
Fish and Potato Pie Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves: 4

  Ingredients
350g/14oz cod fillet
212g can button mushrooms drained
227g can tomatoes
125g/5oz prawns
300ml packet onion sauce mix
200ml/8 fl oz milk
150ml/6 fl oz white wine
70g packet instant mashed potato
6 tbsp spoons water
salt and freshly ground black pepper
25g/1oz butter
tomato slices
parsley sprigs


Cut the fish fillets into large pieces and place in a casserole. Cover with mushrooms and tomatoes and pour over a little of the tomato juice. Sprinkle with prawns on top.

Make up the onion sauce as directed on the packet, using 150ml/6 fl oz of the milk and the wine. Pour over the prawns. Make up the potato as directed on the packet, using the remaining milk and water. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spoon over fish mixture to cover completely. Dot with the butter.

Bake in a preheated moderate oven 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4 for 30 minutes until the top is golden brown. Serve hot, garnished with tomato and parsley.
