Ingredients
750g/2Ib green beans, topped and tailed and halved 4 tbsp olive oil 1 onion, finely sliced 2 cloves garlic, finely sliced 400g can chopped tomatoes 75ml hot water salt and pepper
Heat the oil and fry the onion and garlic until pale golden. Add the beans and saute everything together for 2-3 minutes until well coated in the oil.
Add the canned tomatoes and half the amount of water, with some seasoning, and stir well. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes or until the beans are tender.
Serve hot.
