Ingredients.
For the meatballs: 225g/8oz turkey mince 1 finely chopped onion 2 crushed cloves of garlic 4 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley or 2 tsp. dried 2 tbsp. thyme 1 tsp. dried rosemary 1 lightly beaten egg 75g/3oz white breadcrumbs
For the tomato sauce: 2 crushed cloves of garlic 400g can of chopped tomatoes 2 tbsp. Sundried tomato puree pinch of sugar 1 bunch of basil
225g/8oz spaghetti 25g/1oz parmesan
Mix together mince, onion, garlic, parsley, thyme, rosemary, egg, breadcrumbs and season. Using floured hands shape mixture into 16 balls. Heat a non-stick frying pan and brown the meatballs all over. Meanwhile mix the garlic, tomatoes, tomato puree and sugar together with 300ml/1/2 pint of water and season.. Pour this sauce over the browned meatballs and cover. Simmer for 30 minutes.
Cook the spaghetti for 10 minutes in boiling salted water. Drain and toss it together with the sauce and meatballs. Sprinkle with torn basil and grated parmesan cheese. Serve on heated plates.
